1958年滋賀県生まれ。10歳の頃、天体撮影に一眼レフを使い始める。
2008年より仕事の関係でデジタル一眼レフによる撮影と画像処理とプリントのカラーマネジメントに本格的に取り組む。和紙プリントに魅力を感じ、それがきっかけであらゆるプリント用紙の階調特性の研究を始める。
2013年からSamurai Fotoに参加する。
2013年、SAMURAI FOTO 写真展「日本の美」に出展 2014年、SAMURAI FOTO 山形写真展に出展
